At The Book Works, we understand young people may need new skills to get back on track to graduation. Our book-related projects give young people an opportunity to learn these skills while promoting literacy and making their community a better place to live.
Social Justice Books
The Book Works Social Justice Book Project offers free programming and books that introduce racial justice, the experiences of immigrants and LGBTQ individuals, and other social justice issues.
Learn MoreCommunity Center Books
Our team of young people built and stocked bookshelves for eight community centers across Louisville. Check out these neighborhood locations for free books.
Find Free BooksBooks for Foster Families
Families and professionals will receive a “bundle” of free books and games to help care for children and youth in foster care. Project sponsor, Aetna SKY, selected the books our team will send.
