Nigel Blackburn

Program Coordinator

Nigel is deeply committed to improving his community. He has worked with the University of Louisville Youth Violence Prevention Research Center, served on the Mayor’s Youth Implementation Team, and coordinated services for middle school students. Currently, Nigel is working toward a degree in human services at JCTC.

Darby Phillips

Project Director

Darby earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Asbury University in 2022. Their experience in youth development and restorative justice conference facilitation fuels their passion for helping young people build self-advocacy skills and agency in their education.

Elizabeth Senn-Alvey

Executive Director

Elizabeth has worked to create programs and partnerships that build equitable opportunities for all of Louisville’s youth and young adults for more than 20 years. She earned an MPA from the University of Louisville, with an emphasis on nonprofit management.

Nick Marshall

Education Advocate

Nick attributes his successes to the support of his foster parents, mentors, and teachers. He earned a degree in communications from UofL and has contributed his skills to a variety of non-profit and political roles. Nick is committed to helping kids in or leaving state care at the local, state, and federal levels.

Jada Harris

Education Advocate

Jada is a graduate student at the University of Louisville pursuing a masters degree in Urban Planning. She aims to utilize what she’s learned in her undergraduate study of Sociology and Philosophy to make positive changes in the lives of disadvantaged learners and identify how they can be better served by their communities.

Chris Davis

Education Advocacy Fellow

Chris is a student at UofL pursuing a bachelors degree in psychology. As a fellow, he plans to start by serving his community on an individual level by listening to young people’s narratives and advocating for them to receive the help they need to reach their goals.

Daniel Kabithe

Education Advocacy Fellow

Daniel is a senior at the University of Louisville, majoring in Psychology and English. He is very passionate about advocacy and driving change in the community. He plans to attend law school to further advance his goals.
