What is The Book Works?

The Book Works (formerly Emerging Workforce Initiative) offers free services and resources. The online resources and individual guidance from trained advocates, both volunteers and staff, are offered as a public service to assist high school age learners to return to school and for youth and young adults throughout Louisville, Kentucky.

Although accurate at the time of publication, all information provided by The Book Works (online or in person) should be verified by the user.

How will information about me be used by The Book Works?

The program may collect information on your education history, contact information, education and work goals, services requested or received, and demographic information. All information will be kept private unless required by law. In accordance the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a parent/guardian must give consent to access information on or share information regarding their child under 18 years of age.  A student aged 18 or older may provide consent to have their own information accessed or shared.

Sharing information and data with this program is voluntary. A participant or parent/guardian may revoke permission and participation at any time.
