Caregivers Connect
Tuesdays 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Virtual
Young people need support from their adult caregivers to navigate school challenges and caregivers need support too! Our team has developed an accessible, non-judgemental way to support the caregivers of young people.
Join us weekly for an online support group.
Topics include:
– School avoidance
– Self-care for the caregivers under stress
– Helping your teen build positive peer relationships
– Partnering with teachers and school staff to create success
– Creating a home environment that supports learning
Family School Success Plan Meetings
Flexible Schedule and Locations
The Book Works Youth Services team facilitates meetings with youth and the adults who care for them to develop a School Success Plan. In meetings, learners and family members explore the root causes of school avoidance or behavior challenges and identify strategies that work for them.
